Void Crew is space ship simulator
Jump Ship is Sea of Thieves in space.
So they definitely have similarities, but nowhere near identical enough to be a "Clone". That means exactly the same.
The one big thing I dislike about this game though is there is next to no dodging ship fire, in Void Crew, there are a number of times you dodge fire in the nick of time and it feels great. In Jump Ship it just feels like a scramble to quickly kill the other ships faster than your shields can take punishment. I could be wrong, and doing it wrong, but I certainly find it hard to dodge ship weapons.
The devs are considering adding boosting in any direction like in void crew.
Thats one of the very few things I think they need to add
This game is better than Void Crew.
Yea I agree about the dodging, like i get we aren't in a fighter but man, i have only been able to dodge missiles and the sniper shots. I would love enemies aim to be a little bit worse so that if I'm piloting skillfully then i can mitigate a decent amount of damage. MABY they have more engine upgrades in the full game that make it more possible. But yea, please reward skillful pilots a bit more.
NGL--- Sea of thieves has nothing on this tbh
